I desperately needed some sweet fluff in my life and this story really hit the spot leaving me doing a happy sigh. My new favourite book couple, and Ian is my new book boyfriend! I canNOT believe I thought it wouldn't be my type of book. If any of you, my friends, has this on your TBR, trust me, you'll NEVER regret reading it sooner than you planned. And I am busy knocking myself over the head for overlooking this book for so long on my device. I am now going to look up and then buy more of the author's books. There is nothing I felt lacking (there were only one misplaced and one missing comma and a few missing periods), there was the perfectly detailed romance development that I am always begging for, the characters were multi-layered (I especially loved Ian's sessions with Janet, his therapist), and the dialogues and Sam's monologues just had me laughing so hard, I forgot my own troubles for the duration of the reading. I cried, I laughed, I giggled, and I fell in love with Ian and Sam, head over heels, completely submerged deep into it. The story had me hooked from the first sentence to the very last. I loved EVERYTHING about this book: cute, gangly Sam swoonworthy, troubled Ian snarky, adorable Nik funny, interesting Jurgen Miles Dalton Andy Janet and Detective Johnson, too!
